*** eSeasongear SALT-3000 Re-calibration Instruction:

1. Clean the electrodes with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab.

2. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the meter on. The reading should be 0 ppm in the air.

3. Insert the meter into known ppm value calibration solution about 1-2 inches (at room temperature 25C / 77F)..

4. Lightly swirl the meter to remove air bubbles between electrodes. Wait until the reading stabilizes.

5. If the meter does not read within 2% of the ppm value, adjust the reading by inserting a mini screwdriver (not included) into the trimmer pot (on the back), very slowly turn the trimmer clockwise to increase the reading or counterclockwise to decrease the reading.

6. The meter's reading should match the solution's ppm value now.

*** eSeasongear SALT-3000 Changing Batteries / Reset Instruction:

Please check the batteries (AG13) or reset the meter when the meter can not turn on or display "HM".

1. Use a pair of pliers to pull the battery cartridge out from the top of the meter.

2. Cleaning the metal contact surface using a wet Q-tip.

3. Replace the batteries with new ones if needed, noting polarity (+ and -) labeled on the cartridge and on the batteries.

4. Push the battery cartridge back to the meter, the meter should turn on and display "00".

If the meter does not display "00", please pull the battery cartridge out, wait for 1-2 hours to let the meter reset, and then push the battery cartridge back to the meter, it will work.

Please try to bend the metal legs of the battery cartridge to make better contact to inside of the meter to see if that fixes the problem.
