HM Digital TDS Meter Calibrations

HM Digital (HMD) TDS Meter Calibrations:



HMD TDS meters are factory precalibrated at 342 ppm, they are ready-to-use upon arrival for drinking water or water purity testing. However, if you are testing samples that are consistently over 1000 ppm, it is recommended to recalibrate the meter with higher ppm solution. TDS meters are more accurate when calibrated at levels close to your water samples.

- For Drinking Water Testing:

HMD TDS meters are factory precalibrated at 342 ppm, they are ready-to-use upon arrival for drinking water range TDS testing. You can recalibrate the meters with the 342 ppm solution if needed.

- For Hydroponics Water Testing:

Please recalibrate the TDS meters with the 1382 ppm TDS(KCl) solution, the 1382 ppm calibration is more popular in the Hydroponics application.

- For Salt level in Pool and Pond Water Testing:

Please recalibrate the TDS meter with 3000 ppm Salt(NaCl) solution. Or buy the SALT-3000 salt water meter, the SALT-3000 (TDS4TM-3000) is store precalibrated at 3000 ppm Salt(NaCl) and is ready-to-use upon arrival for pool and pond testing.

Calibration instructions:

Immerse the meter into the calibration solution. If the meter does not read within 2% of the ppm value, adjust the reading by inserting a mini screwdriver (not included) into the trimmer pot, very slowly turn the trimmer clockwise to increase the reading or counterclockwise to decrease the reading. For the meters with digital calibration, refer to the calibration instructions for your meter.
